Terminator Salvation
Mindless, yet entertaining.
Decent effects.
The whole thing with the time travel and man vs. machine is a never-ending saga.
Overall, I rate it 6 out of 10 :bigsmile:s

I recently watched the new Star Trek movie, it was pretty good in my opinion.
I give it two thumbs up.

I also watched an hour and twelve minutes of the movie "Taken". The theoretical movie site I was on wouldn't let me finish watching it, what a crock of theoretical shit.

Taken was a good movie.
I recommend watching the rest when you get the chance.

I plan on it,later on in my fight against insomnia. I'm a Liam Neeson fan anyway.

Do you have to be a complete Star Trek geek to understand the movie?
I'm not, and if I'm not going to know what's going on, I'd rather not bother.

Not really, but they do reveal where a few things came from in later movies.

Terminator Salvation
I saw it too. Not too bad. The sequel is slated for 2011.
I recently watched the new Star Trek movie.
Saw it twice. Extremely rare for me to see a movie twice in the theater.

Star Trek - awesome movie
Angels & Demons: As with The Davinci Code, it stayed true to the book. I thought it was very well done, and the scenery in and around the Vatican was amazing. Thumbs up from the whole crew (the missus and the "kids").
And, just Friday night, we saw Night at the Museum 2. Fucking hilarious! A LOT better than the first one. The dude with the lisp was incredible. He must have made a million takes to get the part right without cracking up. I'd see it again in the theater

Rise of the Lycans. I thought it was very well done I'm usually not a fan of prequels but this one fit right into the story line and it was kind of cool to see the story from the werewolves point of view.

I agree. I felt that it rounded the Underworld story out perfectly.

I've been watching Firefly, for the 4th or 5th time.
Also, I've been watching Eureka, a neat little sci-fi show.

Taken:
Over all it was a good 2 hours, not enough blood, but a little more realistic, then less say the transporter, but still the same fast paced vibe. I'd give it :bird::bird::bird: out of 5
and wouldn't mind a squeal, maybe with his friends forming a group some thing like the a team, lol

I recently watched Semi Pro w/ Will Ferrel.
I normally hate anything he does because he always seems to do a musical number for some reason. This was the pinnacle of stupid humor, which can be a hit or miss with my sense of humor. This was neither. Dumb enough to get bad marks, but good enough to keep on in the background while posting.
All in all, basically a waste of time.
4 out of 10 :smile:s.

I just got done watching The Wrestler.
Best movie EVER! If you haven't seen it yet, please do, it'll make you cry.
i gave it a 9 out of 10...and that's saying something, i normally don't rate new movies any higher than a 5.
oh yeah, be sure to check out behind the mat....it makes for a great double feature with the wrestler. :nerd:

This is old news to most of you, but I was just cruising through the channels and spotted a movie I watched a couple weeks ago.. It was 'Jumper'.
I thought it was pretty good. And "pretty good" seems to be hard to find among the movies today, as far as I'm concerned.

Just recently saw Quarantine.
The preview made it look like another boring zombie flick. *yawn*
Turned out better than I expected. Bad ending, too. Bad not like in "shitty" bad, but bad as in "Damn, sucks to be you" bad.

I haven't gotten a chance to check out quarantine yet, but it's a remake of a Spanish flick [.Rec] and i have been able to check that out and it's actually pretty good.
I wasn't sure about quarantine to be honest, if i remember the story line of Rec correctly the leading lady did a lot of running around and spastic screaming...I'm not a huge Jennifer Carpenter fan and i can only imagine what her rendition of the role was like. haha
I'm a hardcore zombie fan so I'll have to check out quarantine sometime, I'm just relieved that Jennifer didn't seem to (based on reviews) manage to butcher it too awful bad, it really was a decent movie. =)

Yeah. There's a lot of Blair Witch-esque running and screaming, but the storyline was understandable.

Last night we saw "Taking of Pelham 123" with Travlta and Denzel. Pretty good flick, brought up to modern day (from the original which took place in the early 70's). A little better than I expected it to be, but not a "must see" film at all. Solid 3 stars out of 5.
Next, I want to see Transformers!!

Watched "Fast and Furious 4" last night, I liked the fact they brought a few of the original characters back and that they cut down on the racing and added more action. It was alright in my book, I'll give it three and a half out of five middle fingers.

Going to see "The Hangover" on Saturday night - there's a new theater a few towns away that is really upscale.. they have an adult only lounge for 21 and up that rivals that of any club you've seen. Tickets cost $!6 through Fandango, but the seats are like recliners and have large trays that slide out in front of you so you can drink and eat.
Liquor is served and even Prime Rib ($18) but they stop serving food 1/2 hour before the film starts. Gonna be interesting

I'm a little behind the times when it comes to watching movies, but all the hype was almost accurate. I thought it was pretty good.
