the picture size may be too big and exceed the allowable parameters here. are you uploading directly from your computer?

Sounds more serious than picture size, the button should work regardless of picture size. Not saying I know what it is though, sorry.

If you got as far as hitting the "Browse" button, and the popup was just white check your firewall settings, and/or reinstall your Firefox, shit like that happens when you get a corrupted upgrade too.
If you actually tried to upload a file then encountered the problem, that would be picture size.

works for me. I hit browse and the window opened, I selected the file and hit ok, BUT, it didn't show the file location in the box in the browser, but when I hit upload, it still uploaded the pic.

See if you have the same issue in a different browser, if not, then do what Storm says.

Check what folder you put the pic in to begin with.
Browse the entire folder. did ya find it ?
you said you get an hourglass.... turn off everything except CNF. Try again. Sometimes when I have too much stuff open, it fucks up
OR.. if you finished playing a game and didnt reboot the computer.. it fucks up.
There's my 2 cents.
