When someone buys ya something , its the thought that counts, not really the present, right?
So when someone buys you a sweater, you always thank them and say something nice.. I cant wait til the weather gets colder so I can wear it .
In reality it is the ugliest thing ever.... You would never , you wouldnt put that thing on the bum down the street... No way are you gonna actually wear it !
You look for other uses.. Can it be used as a halloween costume? A cleaning rag? Can I buff the car with it? hey... what about that oil spill/kitty litter mess in the garage?
Ok a year or two passes.... Then they ask about that sweater that they had given you. Since you got the sweater, everytime you spoke to them you mentioned that it was a nice gift and that you wear it only when its really chilly.
What do you do? What do you tell them? How do you not hurt their feelings... They cant wait to see you in that sweater.... making things worse.. they made the fuckin thing. Handmade Fugly sweater.
Ok... whats the best course of action?
