Steven Tyler's daughter Mia has reassured fans the Aerosmith star is recovering well after injuring himself in fall - and will return to the stage "just as soon as he can."

The Rush Hour 3 actress has issued a light-hearted statement explaining her clumsy rocker dad was hurt after he "walked the wrong way", referring to his tumble during a show in South Dakota on Wednesday.

But she insists the 61-year-old is still alive and well - and intends to continue touring.

She tells TMZ.com, "The demon of screamin (sic) is not dead. Yes, it's true my dad walked the wrong way and landed on his head. He broke his left shoulder and had to get a few stitches on his noggin (head).

"He is now at home resting and will be back on his feet just as soon as he can to rock the world once more."

The band's guitarist Joe Perry recently hinted the Walk This Way hitmakers' current tour could be canceled to allow the frontman time to recover.

It appears he was entertaining the crowd while the sound crew was replacing a fuse that was blown during the song,"Love In An Elavator"

I found a short clip of the accident.

61 man, wow. He should be home enjoying the fact that he survived his youth, not trying to be youth right on.

I bet he's not having too many Sweet Emotions over the fall.

The only thing that would have made that hilarious is if he was singing "going dowwwwn" at the time (Love in an elevator)
He was probably thinking this is "Amazing". I should have known better than to "Walk this Way". I should have stayed on "The Other Side". It's just "Crazy" but I guess that's "What it Takes". I better get up soon cuz "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing". After seeing his head though, the band said "Dream On"... you're going to the docs. But hey, Steve, you did look like a "Ragdoll" going down....

God speed on the recovery, Steve.

That`s just saying the least..vvvvvvvvvv

The band's next concert, which was scheduled for Friday in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was postponed. On June 28, Tyler hurt his leg at a concert in Uncasville, Conn., and the band had to postpone seven shows in July. Tyler also battled pneumonia before the tour began in June, while guitarist Joe Perry fought a knee infection.

I applaud these guys for feeling like they can continue on and do the music and all, but when they start falling off stages and shit, breaking bones and staying sick, it's time to hang it up.

At least he didn't get melted in the pyrotechnics like the dumb ass, James Hetfield, from Metallica.

Stitches in your melon are worse than 3rd degree burns?

If you say so.

Seems just making the trek to Sturgis this year was dangerous business. Tyler falls down, and thousands of bikers got their bikes pelted and damaged in a hail storm.

Good thing the bikers were too high to get hurt.
