For those of us that put in vegetable gardens, there could be a bad issue concerning hot peppers this year. So far mine are ok, but some folks I know say theirs are getting little white bugs on them and eating them to shreads.
A few folks I work with who eat at Subway for lunch, have reported several shops in this area have no banana peppers for their sandwiches. And when they asked the staff, they replied that there is a blight going round.
So it could be a bad year for peppers. I never buy them in the store, so I haven't noticed if there is a problem on the shelves.

Boo always kept some herbs in a small garden outside the pool cage, and mentioned she wanted to grow tomatos. She always had a fantastic tomato garden on Long Island for all those years, and wanted to try it down here in Tampa.
I told her "no way" because I figured the squirrels, raccoons, bobcats, deer, armadillos, crows and all other manner of strange fuckin' creature we have iin our back yard (lol) would eat them! One of her good friends mentioned putting a few pieces of soap in and around the tomato plants.. that this keeps the animals at bay.
Surprisingly, I am wrong and the two tomato plants are now sprouting tomatos in abundance.. with no sight of critters eating the mato's!!
So, if you have a problem with critters in the garden - try a few large shavings of soap spread around the garden, laying on top of the soil or hal buried. It works!

Seven dust is the ticket too. But only downfall is, you have to re-do it if it rains.

I have not seen them myself Ozz, so I don't.
Seven dust is a dust sort of like flour consistency powder you can get at hardware stores and it is an insecticide that pretty much kills all bugs. I use it sometimes as well when I get hornets under my house shingles. I blow it in the hole with a turkey baisted, and in a day, they are gone.

LOL, I had to google Seven Dust.. and it's a heavy metal band - too funny.
Changed it to SevIn Dust, and it shows its some kind of spray. Sounds sorta toxic, so I wouldn't want to use it. Soap seems less toxic to me

Had a small nest of hornets/yellow jacks recently and bought two cans of spray shit from Ace Hardware. The damned hornets drank that shit up like they were having a kegger!
Went to an Walmart and bought some industrial strength shit that killed them on contact.. for the same damned price. I'll find out the name (I think I still have half a can in the garage) and let ya'll know what it is.. good stuff!

We don't seem to have an insect problem in the garden, so far.
