How many of you think we actually went to the moon back in the day? Or was it just all staged like in that old movie "Capricorn One."
They are many good arguements on both sides.
I have seen the lunar landers and stuff in the Smithsonian, and it's hard to believe that with the computers of that day, how those things actually did what they did.
There have been several tv shows in regards to it all being a hoax. I thought it funny that during the last few year milestones of the first landing, Neil Armstrong pretty much has become a recluse and doesn't want to get involved in the celebrations.
Your thoughts?

Well I was talking about the actual equipment.....
This is the control panel in the lunar module.
Your X-box has tons more computing power that it had. And those are some pretty crude controls.
I believe they did.
the lack of technology amplifies the fact that those pilots who volunteered to become "spam in the can" where heroes.
bigger question might be what they saw while there...
the code phrase for "we are not alone" was used more than once
things that make you go "mmmmmmmh?"

LOL Stone.
Well here is something interesting as far as programming is concerned in different types of applications.
The average luxury automobile has 100 million lines of coding.
The navigation system in an S-class Mercedes has 20M.
The average 2010 Ford auto has 10M.
What comes in below those???
Boeing 787 Dreamliner at 6.5M
F-35 Strike fighter at 5.7M
And the F-22 Raptor at 1.7M
Pretty wild huh? Your car takes more code than an advanced aircraft. So maybe those old lunar modules didn't need to be that sofisticated???

You know the whole weird thing about this digital age we live in? We are only one "EMP" away from everything going tits up.
If we get one pulse from a nuclear accident or whatever,..everyone will be pissed off. Folks will be like saying.."Damn I miss my rotary phone," and the only people
driving cars will be guys who own old muscle cars.
"HA!, you laughed at me for spending $250,000.00 on a 1968 Mustang,..well it still runs, while your new computer car don't go nowhere.
