Last night, I saw this kind of stopping traffic.

Perfect for the baby boomer that wan't a sports car, but with comfort.

And won't be confused with a mini-van, like their SUV

I was in south county too, so saw a bunch of ferraris, mazerati's, etc, but that one caught my eye

Damn, that's pretty sharp. I'd drive it. Only thing I've seen lately that caught my eye was a black on black Ferrari down the street, sorry I don't have a picture of it.

This thing looked comfortable. Something a porsche usually isn't. It kind of reminded me of the custom, 4-door 911 they custom made for Ferdinand.

There are some cool Ferraris, but there was one Lambourghini I really liked

But if I was gonna spent a crazy amount of money for a car, it would be something like a Bentley. Comfortable. That's why I picked the sedan G35.
If it was gonna be for a sports car, it would be a Saleen, or the Ford GT.

My brother's son in-law just got back from Afghanistan last month. One of the first things he did was buy himself a new car:

A 2010 Camaro SS. I think it's the first beautiful look car Chevy has produced in years. When I first saw his, it stopped me in my tracks.

This isn't his, but it's what his looks like:

I think they're cooler than the Dodge.

Doing that should save detroit.

I don't usually like Chevy stuff, but that new Camaro is really pretty. I think I prefer the Challenger's looks though. And if I were buying one of em, it would be the Mustang.

I know two girls that are all about their 300's

(see 2 chryler thread)

I'm by and large just flat not impressed with the fancy cars.

I see one and think "I could have bought a house for that!"

Motorcycles do impress me though and I gotta say my Strattoliner (midnight edition), to me, is the sweetest thing on the road. It's design speaks to me, it's long enough and extra lean with with it's 1900cc Vtwin (w/power commander). Wicked on the jump and can run in the low hundreds all day long (and has). IT's near 50/50 front/rear balance and low center of gravity lets me sweep through the curves scrape'n peg and throw'n sparks. First bike I've owned that I'll be leaving stock...other than the 300w amp in the saddlebag for the mp3 and the black case speakers mounted on the mirror posts I cannot think of much else it needs...

A rare thing to be outa the crate near perfect.

I saw one of those the other day that caught my eye.

I saw a real cool bike a while back.
It was poking along on the right, moving so slow that i thought it was a mo-ped. When I got up next to it, it was a vietnamese guy, and as usual, doin half the speed limit.

While he had no balls, he did have taste.

That thing was a rare as a mexican only child.

Vincent? (hard to read the tank)...very kewl.

I think they are manufacturing them again...(and affordable even)

I've been seeing more and more of those 4 door Porsches around...they may catch on in these parts.

If not for the need of my truck (ram1500) I'd proberly be all about that thing called "cube"....(made by Mitsubishi?) 'ceptin it needs to be about twice as big.

But,..but,..it's not German or Italian, or American engineering like a cool car.

It's,..it's,..well you know.

JAPANESE!

Now Left will come back and say..."Oh, bet you can't keep up when I am going 135 miles an hour."

Left,..a BMW and "fast" is cool.

A vintage Camaro and "fast" and cool.

A Ferrari and "fast" and cool.

"Fast" on a bike, and a Japanese one at that?...not cool.

On a bike, slow and looking "cool" is where it is at.

Se attached pics of Jap rider looking uncool,..and Harley riders going slow who define cool.

You know why they call your bike the "Midnight Edition?" It's because you are supposed to ride it at night so as not to be seen on it.

I'll put japanese again't anything. Dollar for dollar, they're the most dependable.

The other day at work, I came up with the "Automotive Death Test"

Since auto makers give away numerous vehicles for crash tests and such, they should give up a car for my death test.

Top off all the fluids, and hook up a gas line for continuous fuel.

Put it on a dynamometer, and wedge the gas pedal to the floor.

Then just let it run, balls out, till it fails.

That way, you will know how it handles lack of maintence, abuse, how well it holds fluids.
A manufacturer would have to make sure it doesn't burn oil, because the only fluid added to the vehicle after the test starts, is fuel.

I am sure a new Japenese car is much better built and would last longer than a '68 Camero in the long run, if put to the Death Test.

But there is always the "image factor."

How many Jap cars do you see making millions at the Barret/Jackson auctions? How many famous people do you see going to the Orange County chopper guys and saying.."Build mine with a Yamaha engine?"

Coolness talks. Jap bullshit walks.

The jap stuff is more popular here, but yeah, value wise it never seems to hang.

The death test is good too, for things like the old vdubs, as an example. They were always known for running forever, but they needed constant maintenance to do it.

The jap stuff runs long with little maintenance, but the rest of the car can't hang.

I do have to give an honorable mention to Hyundai. They make some nice looking cars now. Re-sale value probably still sucks, but they have turned my head a few times lately.
