That was the headline in our local daily paper a couple of days ago. Having never heard of the game, but having heard of the "other" connotation's of that word, I did a double take and read the article. Considering the other use of "cornhole" I still thought the article was funny as, can we say: "shit!"
Cornhole Gains In Popularity
JoAnn and Donnie used to love playing horseshoes but from the day they learned about cornhole, their interests changed.
Cornhole has been popular as a tailgate game. College students play it on campus and it's been popular in many areas for years, said Joel Dieterle, owner of East Carolina Cornhole of Wilson. The game is gaining in popularity in Wilson with more people playing and tournaments being held at least weekly.
"It's been popular about 10 years or more in the Midwest," Dieterie said. "It's now moving across the US. I would say within a month or two I've seen more people playing here. It's becoming popular as a social event."
There was more, explaining the game (that I'm not going to type.) But by the time I got to that, I was laughing so hard my sides were hurting.
Cornholing, it's for everybody now. LMAO
