For those that either may not know of the possibility or not know how to go about it, the following is a quick tutorial meant to introduce you to the controls and applications that will let you completely customize your personal profile.

How to personalize your profile.
Step 1
Find backgrounds & images that you would like to use.
A GREAT website is www.layoutsparks.com (http://www.layoutsparks.com)
Once you have saved the potential images, you THEN need to create a Profile Album.
Step 2:
Creating a Profile Album.
Click your User CP tab at the top left of any page.

On the page that comes up, scroll down a bit and on the left hand side you'll see "Pictures and Albums".

On the following page click the tab at the lower left hand corner to create an album.
Name this album Profile Album
Step 3
Customizing your profile
Back on your User CP page, click Customize Profile

This will take you to a page full of options. You can do everything from set font types and colors for your profile to adding colors and images for it as well.
To add images click the insert image icon (http://www.crowsnestforums.com/picture.php?albumid=88&pictureid=1026) in any box you choose to work on. This will bring up your images in your Profile Album to choose from.
To see what effect your change has made, click the preview button. It will show you an example of what to expect.
If you think you like it, click save and go back to your profile and see if it had the desired effect.
Once in your profile, you have two options to get back to your profile editing page. Either click the User CP link or click your Customize Profile link

Here is where there is no right or wrong. You just play around with different options until you are happy
Adding Music to your Profile
IF you already have MP3 files on your computer. Go to this site
www.uploadmusic.org (http://www.uploadmusic.org)
Click "Browse" Pick your MP3 & click "Convert"
It will generate a URL code for you to put on your profile.
NOTE: It will give you an AUTO PLAY and a MANUAL PLAY code on the same page in boxes, one above the other.
You need the code in the AUTO PLAY box.
The code is ridiculously long. Look within that mess for the part that looks like this:

Right click and save it.
Go back to your User CP page, click Edit Details at the top of the list on the left.

On your details page scroll almost to the bottom and you'll see a box titled My Music.
Paste your code in here, hit save, make your way back to your profile and enjoy
Remember, all songs uploaded to uploadmusic.org expire after 30 days. After that time, you will be required to repeat this process.

Profile Privacy
There are options to control who sees what on your profile. Similar to FB, there are selections that give you complete control.
To access this feature:
Click User CP, the click the Profile Privacy link

Make your profile as safe as you deem necessary, hit save and enjoy your experience at the nest.
