Well The gun I have is a air blasters belt blaster, it is not full auto like the nerf above, but its more of a shot gun like pumping action. It had a 30 round chain as well, the nerf only has 25. so that is more important to me. It is also about 1/4 smaller, lighter, and looks like the spartan laser fro halo. I have already bored my compression chamber out a bit, got to wait to get some pvc tubes for the next mod.

so the day before i work a 20 hour shift i am crusing on my way to work people have there recycling out, and i notice a rather brite orange and yellow thing sticking out of a bin, doubling back i notice its that nerf vulcan in the first few videos posted in here...

i grab it , start pedling down the road, realsing it was lacking the chain, tri pod and ammo box, i a triple back and look for any other peices none were there, so i pack it up and go to work and store it up stairs thru work i am thinking what i wanna do with it, so i figure try and return it at walmart(acrossed the parking lot) and see what i can do.

i return it no problem and get a brand spanking new one out of the box.! SCORE

Well, initially, the boys (yes there are now TWO kids, and 3, maybe 4 mavs to mod) just wanted Uncle 'Crow to make their magazines open a full 90 degrees, and do up one of my kick-ass paint jobs.

Then I got to thinking about this buddy of mine who mods Volkswagens. He makes those things beautiful, but he doesn't do anything to make 'em WORK better. That always bugged me. It's like, "Yeah, it looks badass...but it's still a Rabbit...".

As a result, I did some research on maverick mods, and I will now be doing the following.



Full 90* Magazine swing.
Air Restricter removal.
Guide Pin removal, and guide plate porting.
Area reduction of air chamber behind barrel in magazine.
Improve the seal between plunger outlet & magazine.
Improve compression ratio in compression chamber.
Increase firing spring tension.
Bad-ass custom paint & sculpting work.


You will notice that all of these, with the exception of the mag swing, and the paint job, are velocity improving mods. In fact, just pulling the restricters on one gun earned me 10 feet. Welt City, here we come! :xd:

My younger nephew has expressed a desire for a more "mini-gun" looking magazine as well, so I may have to do a complete barrel rebuild for him...but then again, we'll just see where inspiration takes me.

Oh, yeah. But what he wants would require a complete rebuild of the barrel. Basically, because the bare center section of the existing barrel looks like shit, and cosmetics are a primary goal. It's all good though, when I explained that he would no longer be able to use commercial darts if I did it, he changed his tune entirely.

Why will it limit his ammo choices? Because the pre-existing stepped tube would have to be replaced by CPVC to facilitate the desired look. By doing so, the potential for firing the commercial Nerf darts, which are often of a stepped design, is eliminated.

Trust me though, it will look the tits without that particular mod, and I assure you, it will not be missed.

i used drawer slids for the action in the pump action, but the part that connecting to the bolt slide has nothing to grab on to, no pump to the pump action, it works , just no way to mount to it
