What was the scariest incident you've ever been involved in or seen on the highway.

Me,I was going North on I-75 one day going to Gainesville for an appointment. It's three lanes wide in this particular area of 75 and I was on the inside lane.I was passing a car that was in the center lane and there was a big rig on the other side of them.

I got right up beside the car and I saw smoke coming from the right front tire of that car,I knew some bad shit was about to happen so I stepped on the gas of that mighty little Toyota and right as I got past that sumbitch the tire blew out on that car and he jerked his wheel to the left and spun out to the left.

His front bumper missed my back bumper by mere inches it seemed like and he hit the guard rail in the medium. It scared the bejesus out of me,there was no way to stop and check on them or I'd be in a pile of metal myself.I never did see anything about it on the news or the paper.

If ya got a story lets read 'em.

On the freeway in the winter, the road was clear and we were going the speed limit. Came over a hill and it was all ice below... and there was a multi-car accident. Cars, people, cops everywhere. Husband reactively hit the brakes and sent our little sports car into a spin. We went through the crowd skidding sideways. At the bottom of the hill was the overpass. We were sliding straight for a concrete column. At the last second the car turned and wedged into the snow between the column and the embankment of the overpass.

I myself have never had anything but when I was young my parents and I used to drive to Texas every summer. The one summer we were on our way down and there was a big rig in front of us and we could see smoke coming out of the trailer. We stopped at a rest stop not thinking anything of it and after awhile we left and a few miles down the road we saw that same rig on the side of the highway and it was completely engulfed in flames and the driver was sitting on the side or the road covered in in soot.

I was leaving one of the many bars I have moonlighted at's Christmas party a few years back with one of the bartenders I was nailing at the time, a hot little number named Lisa (I banged her mom a couple years later, but that is another story for another time). Needless to say I was drunk, and really shouldn't have been driving, but I was going home to get laid, so fuck it.

Anyhoo, Lisa asked me if I wanted to do some ecstasy, and since it never really had effected me in the past, I said "sure" just so she would pop a pill. Within 5 seconds of me swallowing that pill, I heard a loud "BANG!" and thought "What the fuck?"

Blowout.

My car.

In front of the CHP station.

And it starts to rain...I race to get the jack under the car, knowing it is only a matter of time before an officer gets on the onramp. And as I am jacking up my car (kinda, it was a shitty-ass jack), I realize that I am not immune to ecstasy, as I had once thought. It starts kicking in. Hard. I was sure I was fucked.

At this point, I got on the horn to my friend that lived just around the corner, hastily explained the situation, and he was on his way.

Standing in the rain with a blowout, drunk, starting to trip on ecstasy, in front of the CHP station, waiting for my friend to come pick me up was the longest 10 minutes I have EVER experienced.

He laughed at me the whole ride home.

I still banged Lisa that night...

This was back in early 1999. We were travelling to Connecticut from Long Island to attend the Christening of my cousins baby. I had Boo driving with me riding shotgun.
My mother and sister were in the captains chairs behind us.
My two girls were in the third seat in the back of the minivan. We were in our brand new Nissan Quest minivan that had less than 2,000 miles on it at the time.

It was a wet day, and this one section of I-95 gets backed up as you go over a curve in the road. We were in the far left hand lane, and there was about an 8 foot space between the van and the concrete divider. We slowed down nicely and left a gap between us and the car in front of us. We were stopped for what seemed like 30 seconds when I heard an awful "crunch" - and immediately knew the shit was gonna hit the fan. I shoved my left hand over my wife and told everyone to HOLD ON!!!!!!!!

Some asshole driving a 4x4 type of landscaping pick-up truck was travelling along about 70-80 mph in the rain, in the middle lane and wasn't paying attention. When he realized traffic had stopped, he swerved left then whipped the truck to the right, but he ended up smashing into the ass end of the car behind us, pushing his trunk INTO the car. The truck continued to spin, and ended up wedged between the concrete wall and our minivan. He hit the van directly on the structural support member behind the driver seat and the middle row, and the nose of his van was about 12" INTO the van.

Windshield completely shattered all over us. Boo in shock and wouldn't/couldn't let go of the wheel. Thank God the kids were ok. After making sure everyone in my van was ok, the adrenalin kicked in and I was ready to kill this stupid motherfucker. I jumped out of the van and ran to his door and saw a fucking beer can. Can you believe it? A fucking beer can on his dash board. He tried to get out of the truck and I stared at him and calmly said (loud enough for him to hear me well) "motherfucker, if you even try stepping out of that truck I will fucking kill you with my bare hands". For some reason, he didn't move a fucking muscle until the Troopers arrived.

The troopers were trying to keep me away from the driver because I was starting to lose it. I kept going back and forth to the van to convince myself that everyone was okay, and then heading back to the truck to see if I could get my hands on the asshole.

They ended up sending at least eight ambulences for the accident.. six for my family alone. I kept telling them I was okay, just take care of my kids, and they ended up strapping three generations of my family down on individual body boards headed to the emergency rooms.

Know what the worst part was?

They wouldn't/couldn't tell me anything about my kids. All I wanted to know was where was my family and, first, my kids. It took over three hours for them to finally get me the info they were all in the same hospital and all ok.

We never did make it to the Christening

I was driving home from the dentist one afternoon when all of the sudden....

I had to shit.

Bad.

I'm talking stomach cramping up, gurgling and clenching my cheeks with all my might.

I had already passed the last ramp, so I knew I had to hold it until I got home.

Within seconds, I was standing up. While gripping the wheel with all my might.

Luckily, I made it.

Labor Day Weekend

Each year, me n moms drives down to Indianapolis to visit with the relatives.

From Chicago to Indianapolis is roughly a 3 1/2-4 hour drive, depending on traffic and construction.

One year it took 6.

We were jammed in traffic due to an accident.

Supposedly, a Chicago family was traveling to Indianapolis also on vacation. They had pulled over onto the shoulder of the highway to change a tire. At that exact moment, a trailer carrying a bulldozer marked 'wide load' passed by them at an unbelievable speed....they passed us a while back. The section of highway curved to the right where they stopped, truck flew past it....and the chains snapped.

The dozer fell off the truck and landed on the exact same spot where the family had pulled over to change a tire.

The car lit up....burning the children in the car alive. The wife had been rushed to the hospital with 3rd degree burns. The man changing the tire was smeared down the road.

None of his complete body parts have been found.

On the news that night, the lady rushed to the hospital died of asphyxiation.

At first, we thought the back up was due to construction...but the guy on the motorcycle next to us turned on his radio and the news was covering it live.

Traffic finally started moving, and when we went past the scene, the car was flattened to about 2' off the ground, and was completely unrecognizable. I consider myself a decent mechanic, and I couldn't even recognize year, make or model.

There were 3 white sheets on the ground.

That is fucking terrible...

yeh.

The next year we made the same trip, and that specific section of highway was being torn up.

They couldn't get the guys blood off the road.
