Here's the one to watch, boys and girls...
They both have nukes, and they both hate each other. They have been fighting over Kashmir for years.
My prediction-
U.S. will stay neutral for they are both "allies". Soviets will stay neutral if the U.S. is neutral. Iran will jump to Pakistan's side in a power-play to support a Muslim country...could be interesting where it develops from there.

Now that would take care of a waste of our support.
Ghandi would roll over in his grave if he knew what was going on.:xd:

A nuclear war in any part of the world would be very bad, sometimes things escalate to a point of no return. If they decide to kill each other I hope they keep it on a small level.

There's a lot to be said for your prediction. Nothing I would disaree with either.
Maybe just an amendment of sorts, as it would be unusual to see the US and Russia being fully neutral.
India and Pakistan, and the surrounding countries, are far too tempting a prize for 'proxy wars' by the big players.

I can see that line of thinking, and it could well work out that way.
However, I have a firmer belief that the USA and Russia are actively persuing their 'spheres of influence' campaigns. Those areas are, and have been, ripe for exploitation.
The only problem for the USA and Russia, is China.

The only problem for the USA and Russia, is China.I feel more threatened by China than Russia. They are building their military up more than ever lately. Of course with money coming from the US trade.

I know that money is the driving force behind everything, but there is one thing I have never been able to fully understand.
China has openly stated, and regards America as their prime enemy.
So America then gives them a 'most favored nation status' and still does.
Apart from money (trade), I cannot understand this.

I think we'll stay out too because we are spread very thin, both militarily, and economically. Russia is feeling the pinch big-time too...not a huge amount to gain, a lot to lose...
